Signature Blossom Buccals is our intra-oral massage treatment — buccal massage, meaning the therapist works with a gloved hand inside the cheek as well as on the outside of the face. Provided by a Registered Massage Therapist at our Orangeville clinic and billed as massage therapy. Our booking page lists the session as including a cleanse, face oil, a mud mask and a hydrating finish alongside the massage.
The muscles that close your jaw — the masseter, temporalis and pterygoids — do a great deal of work, and parts of them can only be reached from inside the mouth. Buccal massage treats those muscles directly, with a gloved hand working along the inside of the cheek while the other hand supports from outside.
At Blossom this is a massage therapy treatment, provided by a Registered Massage Therapist and billed as massage therapy. Every session begins with an explanation and your consent, and you can pause or stop at any point. The 60-minute session pairs the intra-oral work with the facial elements; the 75- and 90-minute sessions add upper-body massage.
Buccal massage is a facial and intra-oral appointment. Like every appointment here it starts with a conversation about what you want and your consent before anything begins. If a jaw problem is what brought you here, start with the TMJ page instead.
That page sets out which professions provide jaw care here, how each is booked and billed, and what happens at a first visit.
Still deciding? Send us a question and describe it in a sentence — we would rather point you to the right appointment than have you book the wrong one.

Neck, back & joint care →Some headache patterns involve the same overworked chewing muscles — though not all do, and a headache is worth discussing with your physician if it is new or changing.
Long dental appointments can leave the jaw stiff and sore to open.

The technique is explained before anything begins. Gloves are worn throughout, and treatment only proceeds with your agreement.

Intra-oral work is not for everyone, and it is entirely optional. A short conversation at your first visit confirms whether it suits you.
